Rokuro rejects the exorcist's path while Benio lives only to annihilate Kegare. The two clash constantly, yet the head exorcist forces on them the destiny of becoming the married pair who will birth the strongest exorcist. Ordered to live together, they begin an awkward domestic life full of friction. Unable to accept each other, they pass their days in tension until Benio senses the presence of the nemesis she has hunted through Magano for so long.
