Koro-sensei was once the human assassin called the Reaper. He fell in love with Aguri Yukimura, the original 3-E homeroom teacher, and inherited her wish to teach. His body will self-destruct within a year and could take the planet with it, so assassinating him is also the only way to save everyone.
