But wandering through the forest, a strange figure blocks their path and twists the journey in an unexpected direction. Meanwhile, the walled "Heaven" of Takahara Academy comes under attack, and the children are carried off by the assailants under the guise of "protection." Forced into a new life in the outside world, they finally see the director's true intentions surface. At last the two worlds — Heaven and wilderness — begin to connect, a major turning point driving toward the story's end.
