Young Twilight once lived an ordinary life in the East with his parents—toy soldiers, small fights with his father—until border war erased that day overnight. He chooses the spy’s path to “know the world.” Set against the Forgers’ fake family now, Operation Strix’s cold logic reads as a child’s blank space made lethal. Volume 10 of Tatsuya Endo’s SPY×FAMILY.

SPY×FAMILY Vol. 10 spoilers
⚠️ Spoilers ahead.
Volume 10 is Twilight’s childhood, hard cut. Prewar East: a boy, a small house, toy wars with friends, sulking at dad’s lectures—peace as default weather. Then the border war burns the street, the family splits, and he flees west to learn why wars start. Orphanage and street to West intel service: the boy is rewritten as code name Twilight. Present-day threads with Anya, Yor, and Bond run in parallel; a “protect” that no mission code can price maps onto young Loid’s hollow. Operation Strix’s rational spine is a burned kid’s fear. Under the fake-family comedy, the border still smells; closing on the Desmonds means something else once you have seen the ash. A man who discarded his name almost takes one back through family play—and that cruelty lingers past the last panel. Volume 10 is where the spy résumé shoves the family comedy from behind.
