Product-style summary (English)

The stage shifts entirely to Marley, the great nation across the sea. Volume 23 leaves Eren's Paradis Island behind and opens from the perspective of the superpower that persecutes Eldians as "descendants of devils." Readers first meet Gabi, a boy raised as a candidate to inherit a Titan for Marley's army, and Reiner and the other "Warriors" who bear powers like the Armored Titan. They too live amid harsh discrimination and the cruelty of the battlefield. A striking new structure emerges—people robbed of an ordinary life exist on both sides of the walls. With a night train and a boy in the internment zone, this quiet transitional volume weaves the threads leading to the next great clash.

⚠️ Spoilers ahead.

The story leaves Paradis Island to depict the world some years later from Marley's perspective. Marley uses the power of the Titans in a war against the Mid-East Allied Forces, where the boy soldier Gabi distinguishes herself in a fortress assault. Reiner has survived as a Warrior, living in the Eldian internment zone while suffering discrimination at home and the deaths of comrades. The Titan powers carry a "curse" that ends the holder's life within 13 years, and the search for the next inheritors advances. Late in the volume, Marley plans a four-year campaign to retake Paradis. In the finale, a wounded soldier appearing at the internment-zone festival is hinted to be a grown Eren who has crossed over from the island—leaving a powerful hook for the next volume.
