When Megumi Takani, a doctor who fled the opium kingpin Kanryu Takeda, seeks refuge at the Kamiya dojo, Kanryu's elite Oniwabanshu ninja launch a raid. Kenshin and Sanosuke stand against the grotesque assassins Beshimi, Hyottoko, and Hannya.
