Deep within the Taki family storehouse, Natsume uncovers remnants of ancient occult circles used by Taki's grandfather to perceive the supernatural. A nameless spirit, awakened by the disturbance, begins to latch onto the remnants of the grandfather's obsession with his granddaughter, causing Taki to lose her grasp on reality. Natsume realizes that this spirit isn't malicious by nature, but starved for the recognition that only a name can provide. With the intervention of Madara, Natsume manages to pacify the spirit, but not before Taki confronts the bittersweet legacy her grandfather left behind. The experience forces Taki to reconcile with the ghost of her family's past, realizing that the 'sight' her grandfather possessed was a curse born of love. Natsume observes this delicate transfer of emotions, finding his own solace in the realization that being called by one's name is the ultimate proof of existence.
