Aqua turns out to have no power to send them home, so the pair register as adventurers and grind humiliating day-labor quests just to eat. Along the way they recruit Megumin, an explosion-obsessed archwizard who can only cast one spell a day, and Darkness, a crusader who cannot hit anything but adores being hit. With not a single reliable fighter among them, the party bets everything on a cabbage-harvesting quest. Kazuma's cunning and relentless sarcasm are the only things holding this doomed team together.
