Having driven off the Swamp Demon, Tanjiro follows Muzan's scent to the streets of Asakusa. Amid the crowds, his nose finally locks onto his archenemy, Muzan Kibutsuji. Yet Muzan has blended completely into human society, strolling calmly as a gentleman with a family. As the enraged Tanjiro confronts him, Muzan turns an innocent passerby into a demon and vanishes. In the chaos, Tanjiro meets Tamayo, a demon doctor who refuses to eat humans, and her attendant Yushiro. His quest for a way to save Nezuko enters a new phase in Volume 3.
