In the final, Goku and Jackie Chun collide, their Kamehamehas clashing in midair in a legendary bout. After a brutal exchange, Jackie Chun wins by a razor-thin margin, and Goku ends his first tournament realizing there are still stronger fighters above him. He then sets off on a new journey to find his lost power pole and his grandpa's keepsake, the four-star ball, opening the door to the Red Ribbon Army arc.
