While chasing a case he was hired for, Conan stumbles onto a lead pointing straight to the Black Organization. He arranges to make contact with one of its members and heads to the appointed subway station with Dr. Agasa, only to walk into a dangerous trap. The volume's other pillar is the three-part "Heiji Hattori's Desperate Situation," in which Heiji's life hangs by a thread. A light-hearted chapter showing off Dr. Agasa's new gadget and a heartwarming episode about young Ayumi round it out, blending organization-level tension with everyday warmth.
