In the stadium finale, the culprit demands ransom from the TV station while lining up his attack from a specific seat in the stands. Conan notices an unnatural figure on the broadcast monitor and a gaze from afar, and works with Inspector Megure to seize him, averting the blast and disaster at the last moment. In the snowfield case, the culprit fakes an alibi by leaving false footprints in the snow, but Conan sees through the time deception from a contradiction in footprint depth and stride, plus the state of the half-melted snow. The "sibling's love" case hinges on a younger brother trying to take the blame for his sister's sake; Conan lays out the evidence while quietly honoring that feeling. The closing "Invitation to a Lone Castle" sets up the serial-murder case of the next volume.
