With the captain leaving for three days to join a Japan-USA friendly series, Okumura and Seto are pulled up to fill the gap and Furuya is cleared to return. Meanwhile Miyuki, called up to the Tokyo all-star team, trains at the Inashiro ground alongside Narumiya, Inui, Umemiya and other aces from the city's powerhouse schools. Watching rivals wear the same uniform sharpens everyone's ambitions, and Sawamura renews his vow to become the ace.
